Hours and Scheduling
My office hours are generally Monday,Thursday and Friday; 9 AM - 5 PM. The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 53 minutes. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions. Requests to change the 53-minute session need to be discussed with me in order for time to be scheduled in advance.
If you need to contact me between sessions, please leave a message on my voicemail. I am often not immediately available; however, I will attempt to return your call within 24 hours.
IF YOU ARE A CURRENT CLIENT IN CRISIS - please call me. We can hopefully work together to create a plan for your safety until we meet again. If we are not already working together or if you cannot wait for a return call and there is immediate danger - please - call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room.
Additionally, I have listed some resources in the event of a crisis situation:
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800) 273-8255
Text VT to 741741 and a crisis counselor will respond; any time, anywhere, any crisis
Department for Children and Families Child Protection Line (800) 649-5285
Project Against Violent Encounters (802) 442-2370
Scheduling and Cancellations
Should you be unable to keep your appointment, you must give twenty-four hours notice or there will be a $75 fee. Twenty-four hours notice of cancellation is needed in order for me to use the canceled time. This fee is charged directly to you. Your insurance company will not pay; it must be paid prior to scheduling the next session. Should you accumulate two instances of no-call/no-show or late cancellations (not within the 24 hour window) for your scheduled appointment, you will not be offered the opportunity to reschedule. My cancellation and missed apppointment policy will be reviewed for cases of emergency only.
